Stephen Schonhoff grew up in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and graduated from St. Johns High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College and Law degree from Suffolk University, both cum laude. He currently lives in Attleboro, Massachusetts with his family where he coaches youth baseball.
While attending law school at night, Mr. Schonhoff had the unique opportunity to work in various roles as a deputy clerk at the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. It was also at this time that Mr. Schonhoff was able to gather first-hand knowledge and experience as to civil and criminal rules of procedure as well as courtroom and trial advocacy. During his tenure as Courtroom Clerk for a United States Magistrate Judge, Mr. Schonhoff was the individual who arraigned Stephen “the Rifleman” Flemmi of South Boston’s infamous “Winter Hill” gang.
After graduating from Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Schonhoff worked as an associate counsel for two international law firms. His practice carried him all over courtrooms in New England in a representative capacity on both the plaintiff and defense sides. Mr. Schonhoff has represented insurance companies and individuals in personal injury cases ranging in complexity from motor vehicle and slip and fall accidents to the representation of a distribution/manufacturer in Rhode Island’s “Station Night Club Fire” cases.
Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Schonhoff was the Assistant City Solicitor for Pawtucket, Rhode Island. For half a decade, he defended the city from litigation while prosecuting crimes comitted within the city-limits.
Most recently, Mr. Schonhoff started his own practice. He represents individuals in both civil and criminal litigation, companies and municipalities in varying and multiple areas of law.
